Martha Van Der Bly is a lovely actress and videomaker from Holland based in London. I had the opportunity to shoot her in Camden before I left to India.

“She’d frustrate you. She’d irritate you beyond measure but you forgave her…

because you sensed she was wise and that she knew things and, if you were lucky,

she might tell, but like Mary Poppins… she never told.”

I was in Rome walking near Viale dei Condotti where the best fashion designers show their collection to people coming from all over the world. I saw a sign Todo o Nada – Mario Testino and I was so excited to discover his exhibition.

Mario Testino is one of the world’s most celebrated photographers. His pictures of Princess Diana and Kate Moss are amazing.

The exhibition show 54 pictures by Mario Testino which reveal two opposing directions in his work: fashion and the nude. He says:” The pictures start fully clothed and end naked. But where does fashion photography end and portraiture begin?”

“I like strong, independent women. Women who, despite their strength, never lose their femininity and who don not use their beauty as a tool. Women with personality who can reflect their own desires and ours”.

You can see the exhibition until 23 November at Palazzo Ruspoli in Rome.

Every edition of London Fashion Week is so exciting. Next year I will also attend Milan Fashion Week, I am becoming so addictive of fashion catwalk…

London Fashion Week is over after 6 days of catwalks, but fashion is not only the one you see during the runway, people wear clothes every day and they want to show off their look to the crowd.

Here  are some shots taken at Somerset House during London Fashion Week SS 2012. They are bizarre, classic, colorful, serious, and much more… Enjoy!

On 8th September I flew back from Italy and I went straight to shoot an event for Agent Provocateur in Soho during the Vogue’s Fashion Night Out.

It was cool. A model was stripping at the window while many fake paparazzi were shooting her. Lots of people were curious to see what was happening. Lot of fun that night.

This is tha last day at London Fashion Week. I am a bit bored today after 5 days of exciting catwalks. today it is the menswear day and the photographer centre is quite empty because most of the photographer went to Milan for the Fashion Week. Lots of different styles and colours have been showing in these days. Something really good and stylish but also some rubbish. London is not Milan or Paris, so this is normal. Have a look at some of my pictures from the catwalks.

The French phrase ‘La Belle Epoque’ refers to the pre-war ‘fine period’ typified by extravagant dressing and the height of luxury living for the elite.

At the door Nadia give me a really nice welcome. She is very nice with me, she brings me inside and she orders a drink at the bar, a nice cocktail with a delicate taste of lemon. It sounds to be in the 20’s in America, but I am in East London. Can can dancers, acrobatic performance, Montmarte music, corsets and much more. The room is quite dark, few chandeliers light the bar upstairs, some spotlights light up the acrobats, a nice woman makes face paintings and red curtains on the walls give a touch of glamour to the room. But the modern disco music during the last two hours I think is not really appropriate.

The Last Tuesday Society is a ‘Pataphysical organization founded by William James at Harvard in the 1870s and presently run by The Chancellor, Mr.Viktor Wynd and the Tribune, Suzette Field with the aid of The Fellows of The Society.

It is devoted to exploring and furthering the esoteric, literary and artistic aspects of life in London and beyond.

The party on Saturday night is near Charing Cross. Outside it doesn’t look a public club, but once you open the door some stairs go down, you can feel under your feet a soft carpet and listen some old music. At the entrance a nice woman give to everybody a peacock plume. People are really elegant and a tall “lady”, who looks like a child, with a pink miniskirt, walk around with a plastic doll taking care of it. It is surreal.

SIx days of pure fashion during the London Fashion Week and six days of hard work. Many designers show their new collection for next year. Different styles: classical, modern,  colorful, black and white, etc. It has been a nice experience.

‎”A portrait is not a likeness. The moment an emotion or fact is

transformed into a photograph it is no longer a fact but an

opinion. There is no such thing as inaccuracy in a photograph. All

photographs are accurate. None of them is the truth.”

That day there was heavy rain and I decide to shoot at the car park under a building. It was very dark. Neon and soft natural light in the middle light up the space. Fantastic location.
